Hilary Strain
CFO
Hilary joined Alta Partners in 1998, and has served as Alta’s Chief Financial Officer since 2000. As Alta’s CFO, Hilary’s areas of responsibility include deal structuring and deal execution as well as financial reporting, accounting, legal and human resources and other administrative functions at the firm.
Prior to joining Alta, she was a manager with Arthur Andersen’s Silicon Valley office, providing audit and business advisory services to public and private companies primarily in the high technology sector.
Hilary served as a founding Board Member of the West Coast Chapter of the Private Equity CFO Association and currently serves as a member of the NVCA CFO Task Force. She is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pepperdine University.
